What we’re trying to understand here after ascertaining if there are differences between landscaping and lawn care and what those differences are, is what the relationship between the two concepts is.

In this line of business, there are a lot of words that are used interchangeably, and it is important to understand that these words mean different things and to know what the differences are. The most obvious reason to do this is to avoid situations where there is a break in communication between you and your landscaper or lawn care expert when discussing your need, so let’s get into it.

The main difference between lawn care and landscaping comes from the reasoning behind both acts. Landscaping is something done to create or renovate new structures using different conduits, a landscape can be plant-based, rocks, wooden, metallic, or concrete, mostly, it’s a combination of all these elements. 

Lawn care on the other hand is about maintenance. This means that a garden or lawn has to be in existence before you can talk about caring for it. This makes the relationship between both practices clear. One deals with the creation of beautiful environments, amongst which we have gardens and lawns, and other plant-based structures, and the other is about the maintenance of plant-based structures like gardens and lawns. So while they have a connection, you will find that most times, there are companies that offer only one of each of these services.

• Leaf clean up: This is a service required during fall or spring when dead leaves fall from trees onto the lawn. Then you use a leaf blower or a rake to gather and dispose of the leave
